Decrees

The Empire of Pavlov is a social and cultural project which seeks to model the society, customs, and traditions of the medieval Slavic principalities and the Roman Empire in a contemporary framing. The standards of what is and isn't acceptable were drastically different in the era that Pavlov is modeled after, and many of today's societal concepts didn't exist at all. More in the Disclaimer.

Table of ranks adopted

21 June 7528 AM

His Imperial Majesty Alexander IV, may the Almighty God bless his reign, passed a Decree adopting the Table of Ranks of the Empire of Pavlov. The table of ranks contains the official list of ranks and positions in the military, civil, court, and clergy of Pavlov - considered held by Nobles, Equites, Gentlemen, and Burghers. Ranks of the Serf class are not included in the Table of Ranks.

Except for the Clergy, all in K-1, K-2 and K-3 automatically receive hereditary nobility (if they are not already nobles), in K-4 receive nobility for life and in K-5 receive a knighthood.

The decree furthermore stipulates that Clergy is nominated by Imperial edict and confirmed by the Metropolitan of all Rus'.
