In a drastic reversal of the previous policy, His Imperial Majesty Alexander IV, Emperor of the Romans and of All Rus', Victor of Moscovites, Pius Felix, Defender of the Faith, Turtle, and Elephants, may the Almighty God bless his reign, gave Imperial assent to an Act of the Senate repealing the LXXXXIX Alex IV Coronavirus Act.
The Act first and foremost declares the provisions of the earlier act ( LXXXXIX Alex IV Coronavirus Act) null and void. Secondarily it provides for those found guilty of:
to be stripped of their titles and offices if a Noble and stipped of their Subjectship and exiled if plebeian.
The LXXXXXII Alex IV (Second Coronavirus Act) was penned by the same Senator who initially penned the LXXXXIX Alex IV (Coronavirus Act), HIH Tsesarevych Jaroslav Aleksandrovych, Most Noble Caesar. This led to questions in the Senate regarding the authenticity of authorship, with one Senator even going as far as proposing the Tsesarevych's account may have been compromised by anti-Pavlovian elements. After clearing this up, the Act quickly received 100% approval from the Senate.
When asked why he proposed the current Coronavirus act, His Imperial Highness replied to the Gazette that:
Despite our relatively small population, a number of Pavlovian subjects have already contracted COVID-19, and neighboring Lostisland made an unprecedented decision to ban reunions of citizens in the wake of a growing number of cases, including among senior government officials.
