Socii status enacted

The Empire of Pavlov is a social and cultural project which seeks to model the society, customs, and traditions of the medieval Slavic principalities and the Roman Empire in a contemporary framing. The standards of what is and isn't acceptable were drastically different in the era that Pavlov is modeled after, and many of today's societal concepts didn't exist at all. More in the Disclaimer.

His Imperial Majesty Alexander IV, Defender of the Faith, Turtle and Elephants, may the Almighty God bless his reign, gave Imperial Assent to an Act of the Senate establishing the status of "Socius" (in plural Socii) for foreign states. According to the Acts, the Socii states shall be confederates of the Empire of Pavlov, and they shall be in a state of eternal alliance with the Empire.

A new adivsory body was also created in the Act, the House of Socii. It consists of the Pavlovian Monarch and the Heads of State of the Socii states. The House of Socii is to provide the Pavlovian Monarch with non-binding advice on the joint foreign and cultural activities of the confederation. All Heads of State of the Socii states shall have 1 vote.

The Treaty of Ivanstone, by which Brienia was an Associated state of the Empire, was transformed to Brienia becoming Pavlov's first Socius. HM Despot Ivan Brienskyj, Head of the Kingdom of Brienia was made Vice-President of the House of Socii, being the President pro tempore of the House.

Finally, the Acts provides for citizens of Socii states to have access to full Pavlovian subjectship through an speedy application system, but shall also to automatically hold status as Cives Socii.
